Tash-Art Rugs Project va néixer com un projecte artístic per dissenyar i produir estores concebudes com a peces de col·lecció. The mats, which reproduce creations by artists Rafa Forteza and Albert Pinya, are authentic works of art handcrafted in Indian artisan workshops.
Rafa Forteza inherited the European gestural and informalist tradition of the second half of the 20th century and is considered one of the most revealing creators of contemporary Spanish art. For his part, Albert Pinya’s work is based on an intentional and ironic ingenuity that manages to dismantle the perverse structures of reality; he has quickly developed his own identifiable style, in which he applies the codes of popular culture, comics, illustration and a naive meditative aesthetic that hides a precise treatment of the subjects he explores.
