The “Leather Factory Shop” collection is the result of an exhaustive research work that has been carried out in close collaboration with the local community. This exhibition offers an immersion in the history of leather and leather making in Mallorca, focused on the moment of maximum splendor of the sector at the end of the 20th century. All the pieces on display have been donated or donated by members of the community, highlighting the importance of their support and contributions. Through interviews and conversations with businessmen, workers and workers in the sector, collected in a documentary with the same title, the exhibition not only presents a diverse range of products, but also reveals the personal stories that have been fundamental in the development of the footwear and skin industry in Mallorca.
