“The magic shoe factory” is a project created by the Museum of Footwear and Industry with the aim of promoting creativity and imagination among the little ones. This project was born in the summer of 2022 as a workshop based on a story developed together with the Esment Guies and the technicians of the Museum and Esment. With the help of writer Maria Antònia Moyà and illustrator Helena Bosco, a story full of magic and values was created, designed to make the Museum even more inclusive and accessible to everyone. Through this story, children can explore the history of footwear in a playful and interactive way, connecting with cultural heritage in a meaningful and fun way. The project not only contributes to educating about Inca’s shoemaking tradition, but also reinforces the Museum’s commitment to inclusion and community participation, involving people with intellectual disabilities in the creation and implementation of cultural activities.
